Gerrards Cross Community Association at the Memorial Centre

Dedicated to the Fostering and Furtherance in Good Fellowship of all Arts and Exercises Healthful and Enriching to Body and Mind.
The Association provides a wide range of adult education, physical recreation and social relaxation programmes for the community. We always seek to provide an efficient service in a pleasant and friendly environment. The Association is housed at the Memorial Centre adjacent to Gerrards Cross Common; set in its own grounds, the Centre has generous parking outside the main building for more than one hundred cars. The main building dates from 1710 and was once the Vicarage for St James Church. An adjacent building was purchased by public subscription as a memorial to those who fell in the First World War. The Association is a non profit making charitable trust which does not benefit from grant aid but is self financed by members’ subscriptions, rentals, donations and funds raised from the various activities held throughout the year. The same Trustees are responsible for both the First and the Second World War Memorial Buildings. All members of the Association receive a quarterly newsletter which provides information on forthcoming events, interesting articles from local celebrities and historians, news of local affairs and details of special offers available to members from providers of local goods and services. |
